I am currently training for my first figure competition: Tri State Figure in Erie, Pennsylvania on September 10th, 2005. I have photo schoots scheduled around that time, so be looking for me in the Fitness Magazines (and on the Pro Circuit!). Best moment so far in your sport
I was asked to do an ad for a photographer friend after my most recent challenge. What a shock! For much of my life I was a size 18-20 and weighed over 200 lbs! The ad was extremely successful in its market - what an honor! |

What do you enjoy about your sport?
I love the process of preparing for a competition: all the cardio gets me in excellent shape! I use it as an excuse to run, swim, bike, take classes, participate in gymnastics classes... and I love the process of leaning down and being able to wear progressively cuter clothes as the big day nears! I also love setting - and achieving goals - in each successive challenge (leaner thighs in this one, more sculpted shoulders or abs in that one). What an amazing feeling to achieve those goals! |

What are your goals in your sport?
I will be competing in my first figure competition in August 2005. After that watch out for me on the Pro Circuit and in the Magazines! I want to help inspire people like me, who lived much of their lives grossly overfat and knew it was time to make a change. Sometimes all you need is cold hard truth and someone to keep you honest, and that's definitely what I offer. I also hope to someday be compared to Monica - her unique combination of exotic and all-American beauty is absolutely divine - but I am not yet worthy of dreaming of that garland! |
