I am 27 years old, and I am still trying to make it through my Biology degree! I've been married to my amazing husband, Frank, for six wonderful years, and without him I never would have realized my dream of becoming a Figure competitor. |

When did you start in your sport?
I started lifting weights about 4 years ago after seeing pictures of Anja Langer, and later Monica Brant. I just completed my first Figure competition - the 2006 Sacramento Fitness, Figure and Bodybuilding Championship on November 4th. |

Best moment so far in your sport
All of them! Winning the overall at the Emerald Cup was amazing (and unbelievable!), but I was also shocked and thrilled to place as high as I have at National shows my first time out!

What do you enjoy about your sport?
Being healthy, and feeling strong! Bodybuilding ( I consider Fitness and Figure to be facets of Bodybuilding) is so incredible because it is akin to sculpting - you decide what you want to look like, where you want to add or lose, and you make it happen! There are so many things to love about bodybuilding - the fact that you are able to fulfill your physical potential, that you are able to test yourself mentally. Also, the discipline required in bodybuilding as well as the ability to set and work toward a specific goal spill mover into and improve your everyday life. |
